Story
Hello friends!
I have joined Keep a Child Alive (KCA) in order to fulfill two of my life passions: to be of service and to run! By fundraising for this wonderful organization, I will be able to contribute to help improve the health and well-being of vulnerable children and families around the world that are combating the physical, social and economic impacts of living with HIV/AIDS.
I pledged to fundraise $3000 that will go directly to this organization and in return they will secure my entry to RUN THE NEW YORK CITY MARATHON this November 6th, 2022.
Running has always been present in my life one way or another. I never remember owning a pair of running shoes when growing up in Mexico, however my childhood memories are full of joy and laughter running wild and free. Forty years later and a proud mother of two, I still find the same joy in running that I did when I was a little girl! Running has also become a vessel to help those in need. By fundraising and running the NYC Marathon, I will have the opportunity to give children that are suffering a little bit of joy back.
Help me fundraise for Keep a Child Alive and make a lifetime dream become a reality!
Click ‘Donate’ to make a secure online donation. As a reminder, all donations are tax-deductible, you will be emailed an official letter for your records!
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Orfelina Strong
